Katya Gualter

Katya Gualter is an artist, researcher and dance manager for many years, working with instances that speak about methodologies inspired by the Orixás, and aims to bring the relationship between the black body, artist body and manager body, speaking more deeply beyond the management of spaces, reaching issues about the management of knowledge itself, raising the importance of these places in body practices that think the protagonism of the black body. Her trajectory walks between coordination and leadership of the department of body art of UFRJ, assuming the direction of the School of Physical Education and Sports of UFRJ in January 2016, being re-elected in 2019, has been for 6 years in the management of one of the largest social and research bodies in Dance in our country.
